Did An Ancient Egyptian Invent Your Toothbrush?
It sounds a bit strange, but it’s true. Dental hygiene actually stems back to as far as 3000 B.C. when the Egyptians used “chew sticks” to clean their teeth after meals. That interesting tidbit of information is just one of the articles I’ve featured in my latest Service For Life! ® Free consumer newsletter this month. You’ll also learn how to banish headaches with natural remedies, how to make sure the pool you’re swimming in is safe, tips for creating your own cash safety net, and a whole lot more. But first…
Orlando is on track for another record year! Interest rates and the inventory of homes have both inched up. Stock of single family homes has climbed to 18,179 according to Orras monthly stats. Last year in May, only 3,253 homes were listed in the MLS. Sales of existing homes within Orlando (Lake, Orange, Osceola, and Seminole Counties) year-to-date are up 1.1% from 2005. Only Seminole county saw an increase in sales in May (8.7%). Sales in Orange -3.4%; Osceola -7%; and Lake -16.3%. According to the Orlando realtor association report, the median price in May 2006 rose by 133% over May of 2005 to $252,990. Mortgage rates climbed to 6.39%.
I have become a workaholic this summer. Christopher, my son, will be returning in the next few weeks from his summer in Tennessee. His Sales Team grossed $100,000 in sales, selling CUTCO. Go Christopher!
Also, I’d like to say a few special words about my client and friend, Mary Liddle. Just a few years ago, I met Mary & Earl when helping them find a new home. And since our meeting, Mary has blessed me several wonderful new client referrals. The latest being Susan and Mark Goodell from Colorado. Mary, thank you for your warm friendship and support of my business!
Finally, I want you to know, that you may call me for any reason. And please let me know if a friend, family member or neighbor needs a caring, competent real estate professional to help in buying or selling.
I truly appreciate your friendship and referrals. Enjoy your issue!
Warmest regards,

P.S. Did you know that 100 million meteoroids pummel the earth every day? It’s true. And there’s more trivia where that came from on page 3 of this month’s issue. Check it out…
